About the Day of Action

Join the Darfur Diaspora Collective for an afternoon of education, organized advocacy, and public witness. We begin with a limited-capacity panel at IUPUI to deepen our understanding of the crisis in Sudan and end with a community march, a rally at the Indiana Statehouse, and a candlelight vigil to honor victims and survivors.

Why we are gathering

The situation in Darfur and across Sudan has produced widespread civilian suffering and documented human rights violations. This day brings together scholars, community leaders, and youth organizers to share context, testimony, and concrete pathways for advocacy — including calls for targeted sanctions, arms-embargo measures against the RSF and enabling actors, immediate humanitarian access, and accountability for atrocities.
